Neurodiversity.
Neurodiversity in children is when they think, process, learn and/or develop in a different way than the standardized average. About one of every five children is neurodivergent and with neurodiversity comes both vulnerabilities and also incredible superpowers.
Whether this is something that affects you or not, you’re not alone. Your child is not alone. The greatest gift we can give ourselves and our children is to learn about their behaviors and their way of understanding and then empathize, plan and support them.
I want to help parents navigate their, and, their children’s challenges which are often connected to executive function deficits, learning differences and/or sensory sensitivities.
In addition to working directly with families, I have experience with ADHD, anxiety disorder, school district 504 plans, IEPs, specific learning differences, sensory processing, comorbid conditions, 2e programs, executive function tools, ODD (oppositional defiant disorder), Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder, neuro-psych evaluations, special needs services (OT, PT and speech), SEITs, CSE / CPSE board meetings and more.
